A-Rod changes to Triple-A rehab
Alex Rodriguez is scheduled to join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday to continue his rehabilitation after surgery on his left hip. He will possibly finish his rehabilitation with Triple-A before returning to the New York Yankees Monday at the earliest.
After starting rehab on July 2, Rodriguez is 5 for 28 with six strikeouts. His 20-day rehab limit will end on Sunday. On Wednesday, Rodriguez told a radio station in New York that he plans to rejoin the Yankees on Monday.
