NATIONAL NEWS – Director Morgan J. Freeman says FBI visited home over anti-Trump “8647” posts to intimidate him, blames Kash Patel

Film and television director Morgan J. Freeman (not Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman) claims the FBI showed up at his home with printouts of his social media posts, an act he believes was politically motivated and orchestrated by FBI Director Kash Patel in response to his outspoken criticism of Donald Trump. Freeman, known for the 1990s indie film Desert Blue, said agents focused on his post of the number “8647” — a sequence he insists simply means “Kick Out Donald Trump.” According to Freeman, the FBI claimed the number had been interpreted as a threat against the president, a controversy that first emerged in 2023 when former FBI Director James Comey posted the same digits in a since-deleted Instagram photo.

Freeman alleged agents wouldn’t allow his girlfriend to photograph their badges and that the visit was meant to intimidate him for exercising his First Amendment rights. The number “8647” has been read by some as “86 47,” slang for removing or killing Trump as the 47th president, an interpretation Comey denied. Freeman says the incident mirrors the scrutiny Comey once faced, and he turned to Grok AI, which called the visit “a grave abuse of power” and urged him to document everything for independent media. The FBI and Patel have not publicly responded to the claims.
