NATIONAL NEWS – Gunman killed, officers injured in shooting at Texas Border Patrol facility

A 27-year-old man, Ryan Luis Mosqueda, was killed after opening fire at a U.S. Border Patrol annex in McAllen, Texas, on July 7. Armed with tactical gear and multiple weapons, Mosqueda fired dozens of rounds before being shot by federal agents. Two officers and a Border Patrol employee were injured and hospitalized.
Authorities said the suspect, reported missing hours earlier, had ties to Michigan. The FBI is leading the investigation, and officials have not yet identified a motive.
