A teenager at West Potomac High School wascritically injured after of a stabbing that took place on Wednesday. Another teenager is now in police custody, according to local police. The 16-year-old was stabbed when he and another student got into a physical altercation in school. Police in Fairfax County said that the boy who was stabbed was taken to the hospital in critical condition and life-threatening injuries, but is now stable.

Officers then took a 15-year-old into custody, and he will be charged with malicious wounding. Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said that investigators are still questioning a third student who was involved in the fight. Davis said, “A third person, who we are questioning, we are not describing him as a person in custody, because at the moment, we don’t anticipate any criminal charges on this third person, during a press conference. Disturbing videos and pictures have already begun circulating among the student body, showing the students fighting and one of the students who was belittled on the floor in a hallway.
