NATIONAL NEWS – Shockwaves: New poll shows Trump’s approval rating has plummeted in second term, “worse than expected”

President Donald Trump is struggling with increasingly negative polling regarding the actions of his second administration. New poll data shows a dramatic decline in his approval ratings compared to their levels just after he was elected.

A study conducted by Yahoo News/YouGov from March 20 to March 24 of this year found that most Americans now feel Trump’s presidency is worse than anticipated. Out of the 1,677 U.S. adults surveyed, 41% said Trump’s performance has been worse than expected, while 30% believed he has performed better than expected. Another 22% said his performance was “about the same” as they had predicted.

The YouGov poll found that Trump’s approval rating plummeted and is only 44%, while 50% of Americans disapprove of the job he is doing as president. The study concluded that one of the prime reasons for Trump’s decline in public perception is the state of the economy. His promises to lower food prices and subsidize housing have yet to be realized, Trump’s assurances of economic prosperity are falling short of public expectations, according to the poll.
