POLITICS NEWS – “Leave us alone”: Palestinians respond to Trump’s latest social media video showing his stealing Gaza land

Multiple Arabs and Muslims in the United States and abroad have been highly critical of the controversial video that was posted by President Trump to social media platforms. The video was also apparently AI-generated and depicts Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sunbathing in Gaza. This video also features a resort called “TRUMP GAZA” near a riviera. The video goes on to show children running out of the rubble from the war into the palm trees and luxury buildings. The video also depicts a towering gold statue of Trump with men in what looks to be drag dancing in bikinis on the beach. 

This post comes weeks after Trump suggested that the U.S. should take the river Gaza and assume control, then relocate Palestinians. In Gaza, many residents have little to no internet service, and those who have seen the video have rejected any desire from Trump or the U.S. to gain control of Gaza. One resident Anas Baba spoke to a representative from NPR saying, “We won’t be lured by a few statues and money, leave us alone and let us rebuild our homes by ourselves.”
