A woman at the McDonald’s in Washington, D.C.’s Union Station was stabbed by a man in a suspected domestic dispute, Metropolitan Police Department Spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump stated. A contracted security guard witnessed the stabbing and chased the suspect, eventually shooting him after being accosted with the suspect’s knife. Both the suspect and the victim are expected to be in good condition. An investigation is underway.

The attack is believed to be independent from the anniversary of the September 11th incident.
