Donald Trump pairs up with Ted Cruz against Iran Deal
Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz paired up against the Iran nuclear deal in a rally on Wednesday. Both Trump and Cruz strongly criticized the deal, with Trump describing its proponents as “stupid” and the deal itself as “incompetent.” The event, held outside the Capitol as Congress debated the deal, was sponsored by tea party and pro-Israel activists.
The Iran nuclear deal was struck in July by the United States, Iran, China, Russia, France, United Kingdom, and Germany, and was meant to provide Iran with relief from years of international sanctions in return for constraining the country’s nuclear program.
