DNA of escaped prisoners found in New York cabin

The DNA of escaped prisoners Richard Matt and David Sweat has been found in a burglarized New York cabin. On Saturday, a witness also saw someone run into the woods near an upstate New York community that is only 20 miles from Clinton Correctional Facility, where the prisoners escaped on June 6. Investigators believe this runner could be one of the two escapees. Police have stopped their search on the Pennsylvania border and are now focusing on Owls Head, New York, where the possible sighting occurred. Residents of this area have been warned to stay inside with the doors locked because the escaped prisoners are dangerous. Joyce Mitchell, a prison tailor, has been arrested on charges of providing tools to the prisoners that assisted their escape. A guard is also on paid leave and being questioned by the police.
