Cory Monteith died of overdose
“Glee” star Cory Monteith, who struggled for years with substance abuse, did in fact die of an overdose of heroin and alcohol. The British Columbia coroner’s office made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old was found dead in his Vancouver, British Columbia hotel room on Saturday after he did not check out on time. He was believed to be alone when he died
At a briefing on Tuesday, police say they believe Monteith had been dead for several hours before he was found. They ruled out foul play.
