40 Years for MD Rape Suspect

As a result of a an attempted rape in October 2010, Roberto Cruz Gonzales, 20, will be sentenced to 40 years in prison, courts decided Wednesday. Gonzales is charged with attacking a woman in Rockville, MD and forcibly inserting his penis into her mouth. The woman retaliated by biting down before he abandoned the attempt. Witness testimony and evidence from a security camera were used in his sentencing.

In addition to a jail sentence, Gonzales will have to register as a sex offender, and faces life in prison if he re-offends.
