Woman stabbed on Metrobus in D.C.

Metro reported a young woman was stabbed on a bus in Southeast Washington, D.C. on Sunday. Shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of 6th and Chesapeake streets in Southeast, the incident occurred.

Caroline Lukas, a Metro spokeswoman, said two women around the age of 18 got into a physical altercation while riding an A8 bus. One woman stabbed the other several times in her midsection and got away. The victim was flown to a hospital, but her injuries are reportedly not life threatening. Authorities are searching for the attacker.
