Seattle rock band ‘Heart’ inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

The Seattle-based rock band “Heart” couldn’t have been more delighted when they heard the news that they had been included in the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. “Yeahhhhh,” was Nancy Wilson’s text to Charles R. Cross, freelance journalist and co-author of Heart’s memoir, when they recieved the news. “We are [in] indeed!” Ann Wilson chimed in. “Hearty congrats all around.” Heart has been eligible for the award for 10 years now, since Hall of Fame rules only allow performers to be nominated 25 years after their first album. The band has created a long list of acheivements in that time, including a bestselling memoir, a box set, a new album and meeting President Obama just last week. It was just after the pair left the White House that they recieved the news of their induction. Even with all these laurels, the band isn’t ready to slow down. They are preparing for yet another tour this coming year which will include dates in Seattle.
