Police ask public to help identify body

Metro police uncovered the dead body of a woman in the Potomac River and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying her.

Her body was discovered on November 1 nearby the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue, NW.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, but authorities believe the woman to be between 65 and 75 years of age.
