Grosso wins seat on DC Council over Brown

David Grosso defeated incumbent Michael A. Brown, for a spot on the DC Council yesterday. Brown’s campaign was troubled by financial problems and marred by accusations of fraud in regard to a non-profit foundation named for his late father. Grosso ran on a platform of reform and he became the first challenger to unseat a standing councilmember since 2004.
