Fourth body pulled out of Potomac River
For the fourth time, a dead body has been pulled out of a D.C. waterway. The body was discovered in the Georgetown area and was floating in water near the Key Bridge. Two kayakers discovered and retrieved the body of an adult male around 12:20 p.m.
Although bodies have been discovered per week since the beginning of April, police do not believe the incidents to be connected. Earlier this month, the body of an Iraq war veteran was found in the Anacostia River. One week later, the body of 63-year-old Robert Groshan was found near the 14th street Bridge. Last Thursday, the body of a Chicago tourist was found in the Tidal Basin.
