BBC broadcaster sentenced for sexual assault

Former BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has been sentenced to 15 months of jail time after pleading guilty to 14 counts of assault against girls as young as 9 years old.

The sentence was given on Monday after he admitted to the crimes 6 weeks ago. The 83-year-old initially denied the charges. The assaults happened between the years of 1967 and 1986.

The BBC network noted that they were “appalled” at Hall’s actions and would no longer employ him. Hall’s lawyers claim he is sorry for his actions and wants to apologize to his victims.
