Alleged white supremacist of Virginia arrested for threats, illegal weapons

An alleged white supremacist from Manassas, Virginia, who has conveyed hatred and support for violence toward a number of political figures, was placed under arrest. According to Neil H. MacBride, a U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Douglas Howard Story, 48, is accused of illegally obtaining a fully automatic AK-47. The 48-year-old is charged with making a firearm in violation of the National Firearms Act, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Story gave his AK-47 along with $120 to an undercover police officer to modify the gun, court documents say. On Wednesday, he was arrested by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. Story reportedly posted a message on an Aryan Nation website that he planned to ambush and murder any law enforcement officer that tries to stop him, if martial law is declared. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, Story used the screen name “Confederate Brother” and posted his hateful thoughts about minorities, including expressing that President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder be removed from office “with a 30.06.”
