Entertainment editor of WTOP dies

Entertainment editor Joe Barber of WTOP was found dead Monday in his D.C. home. He died of natural causes. Barber, 53, has worked in news and media for 20 years, with his entertainment editor position at WTOP since 1997. He provided film reviews and also featured arts and cultural event previews. He is greatly missed by the people he worked with.

WTOP reporter Michelle Basch said “Joe Barber was very genuine, which is why we connected so well. He was kind, caring, giving, funny, and full of knowledge about movies.”
