Jesse Leroy Matthew, Jr., the man accused of abducting University of Virginia student Hannah Graham also faces charges in a Fairfax attempted murder. His defense has asked for a gag order, disallowing the prosecution from speaking with the media about the case. Additionally, the defense is asking for $2,000 to hire their own DNA expert for analysis of the evidence in the case. The request paperwork states that the defense received a certificate of the original analysis not from the commonwealth, but from the Washington Post. The request for the protective order will be granted a hearing January 8.
