On Tuesday, the NFL announced that Minneapolis, Minnesota, would be home to Super Bowl LII in 2018. Vikings owner Zygi Wilf stated “We’re very proud to host Super Bowl LII. It’ll be an exciting time. I know we’ll do a great job and we’ll be proud. Working very hard right now to build a world-class venue.” Minneapolis ousted Indianapolis, and front-runner New Orleans for the rights to host the big game. Super Bowl LII will be played inside of the Minnesota Vikings new $1 billion stadium, which is set to be open for games in 2016.
