District of Columbia mayoral candidate Jack Evans has exceeded the $1,000,000 mark in campaign funds.
As of December 10 Evans reported over $1,019,373.16 in campaign funds. A total of 1641 contributions have left the candidate with over $583,586.76 in cash on hand.
Evans has hosted 52 public events throughout the district since the launch of his campaign, and his staff has contacted over 53,336 voters through a variety of outlets.
One of Evans more recent events, “Jack’s Southern Holiday Brunch,” drew a crowd of 200 who brought food and toy donations to Georgia Brown’s Restaurant.
Evans is just over the halfway mark of his mayoral campaign, and has already achieved 2/3 of his fundraising goal.
Evans says, “My campaign is about bringing quality jobs and more economic opportunities to residents in every part of this city – that message is resonating with voters.”
