One Direction’s Malik engaged to Perrie Edwards

One Direction loses one eligible bachelor as band member Zayn Malik is now engaged to Perrie Edwards of the group Little Mix. Both artists are 20-years-old.

On Tuesday, Edwards was spotted wearing a diamond ring at One Direction’s film premier “This Is Us” in London.

Edwards’ mother confirmed the engagement on Wednesday. She told Real Radio, “It’s true. They got engaged on Sunday and it’s absolutely lovely.”

Columbia Records has also confirmed that Malik and Edwards are engaged, but any other details regarding the relationship are private.

Like One Direction, the female trio Little Mix formed during the British TV show “The X Factor”, where they won the competition in 2011. One Direction placed third in 2010, but went on to top the charts around the world.
