Boy electrocuted after climbing Herndon school roof

A teenage boy was electrocuted after he and his friends climbed onto the roof of a school in Herndon, Va.

According to Fairfax County police, one 15-year-old and three 14-year-olds were on the grounds of Fox Mill Elementary School at around 9 p.m. While climbing to the roof of the school, one of the boys came into contact with electrical wires and was shocked to death.

One of the 14-year-olds was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

A homicide team has been summoned to investigate the chronology of the events. Although the boys are being investigated, there is no sign they were attempting to break into the school.
