Cab driver killed in Adams Morgan

Police have identified the cab driver that was shot to death in Adams Morgan. Police have also identified the shooters.

The cab driver is 57-year-old Soloman Okoroh from Lanham. One suspect is 32-year-old Ercell Overton, who faces a murder charge. Another man arrested is 24-year-old Joshua King, however he faces a different charge.

Okoroh is the father of five children including Howard University basketball player Prince Okoroh.

Solomon was fatally shot on Tuesday morning near the 2300 block of Ontario Road. Police responded to a call around 3:15 a.m., where a taxi driver had been robbed and shot. Two suspects fled on foot, beginning a police chase. One suspect opened fire on the officers, who fired back.
