Woman assaulted and nearly abducted

A 20-year-old woman told police that as she walked near Portsmouth Road, a man grabbed her from behind and attempted to drag her into a back alley. The victim fought back and screamed, which scared the man off. The victim was hit in the head with a blunt object.

The suspect’s description is vague, but he is noted as having a medium complexion, and wearing a long-sleeved dark shirt or jacket.
