Man charged with stealing police car with daughter inside

Prince George County police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for stealing an officer’s car near Vienna Drive. 19-year-old Demetrice Little was arrested Saturday morning at a local hospital while being treated for gunshot wounds from the incident.

Police say Little stole the vehicle while with his young daughter. Police ordered Little out of the car, but Little proceeded to drive the car toward the officers. Shots were fired as the officers feared for their own safety. Little’s daughter was able to exit the car before the shooting occurred.

Little faces charges of kidnapping, auto theft, abduction, and first degree assault
