Alicia Keys’ fifth album tops the chart
Singer Alicia Keys has achieved yet another No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday with “Girl on Fire,” knocking down Rihanna’s “Unapologetic” from the top of the list. “Girl on Fire” is her sixth straight No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. This ranks her right up there with DMX, R. Kelly, Kanye West and Luther Vandross in terms of number of consecutive No. 1 albums. The album actually jumped from No. 65 to No. 1 on the chart, after street-date violation sales forced it onto the chart week one early. It moved 159,000 in its first official week on sale, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The week previous, it did just over 1,000.
