Matthew McConaughey raises concerns with frail appearance

Actor Matthew McConaughey has openly stated that he has been losing weight to prepare for his upcoming movie in which he will play a 1980s AIDS patient. “I should not look healthy by the time I’m doing this,” McConaughey told Larry King back in July. However, his appearance has some concerned he has taken his new role too far. The actor has lost a startling 38 pounds and, at 5 foot 11 inches, has gone from 182 to 143 pounds. To achieve this extraordinary weight lost he fasted and subsisted on a diet of fresh fish and one glass of wine per day.
