A Virginia man who detonated pipe-bombs in the home of his girlfriend, a Stafford County Sheriff detective, and a police deputy is the target of a manhunt involving local, state, and federal officers. SWAT teams searched the man’s home but did not recover any explosives. The two officers targeted in the attacks had previously arrested the suspect. There were fortunately no injuries from the explosions, but the man is being considered a danger to public safety.
Police say they may release the suspect’s name and ask for public involvement if they cannot apprehend him soon.
