Rick Perry drops out of race

According to two Republicans, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has decided to end his bid in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Gov. Perry will announce his withdrawal for candidacy on Thursday morning at a conference in South Carolina at 11 a.m. Two campaign officials confirmed that the Texas Gov. will endorse Newt Gingrich. Perry’s decision could sway the outcome of Saturday’s South Carolina primary, which will now consist of four candidates.
