A monstrous cyclone that ripped through Fiji over the weekend has compiled a death toll of 18 people. Koro Island was one of the areas that suffered some of the worst damage. Authorities are having difficulties communicating with the island. More than 6,000 residents had to evacuate to emergency shelters due to the damage caused to their homes. Cyclone Winston reached 177 miles per hour according to Weather Underground, making it the strongest storm in the Southern Hemisphere.
