A video released by the Islamic State shows the beheading of missing U.S. journalist James Wright Foley. Foley was an experienced reporter, who covered numerous conflicts while contributing to Agence France-Presse and other news outlets. President Obama shared his remarks on the appealing murder, calling the beheading of James Foley “an act of violence that shocks the conscience of the entire world.” Foley’s family mourns over his death, but remember him as a hero. His father says his slain son was a ‘martyr for freedom’.
