IS may have warplanes, is barely holding on to Kobani

Syrian opposition forces have reported that ISIS has three warplanes in northern Syria, and that former Iraqi military officers may be training the militants to use them. The planes are being kept east of Aleppo. U.S. Central Command insists that they are not aware of any flight operations by ISIS. Kurdish ground forces continue to push back ISIS from the border town of Kobani, with assistance from U.S.-led coalition airstrike forces.
