Egypt forms temporary government

Nobel laureate Mohamed ElBaradei was sworn in as Egypt’s interim vice president for foreign relations on Sunday as a new temporary government for the country starts to form. The former Egyptian ambassador to the United States, Nabil Fahmy, has also become foreign minister in the new government. Other new members include Ahmed Galal as finance manager and Hisham Zaazou continuing as tourism manager.

The Egyptian military ousted President Mohammed Morsi earlier in July. New presidential elections are expected to begin next year.
