Transportation Security Administration officers have stopped three people with guns in their carry-ons in just two days, in the Washington area. Two of the people were stopped at BWI Airport, the third was stopped at DCA. On Friday, TSA officers arrested a woman at BWI after finding a loaded .38 special handgun in her carry-on. On Thursday, a man was caught at BWI with a loaded 9mm handgun. The last man was caught with a .44 caliber handgun at DCA on Thursday. TSA officers have found more than 1,000 firearms at security checkpoints across the country so far this year, the agency reports.
