Sequestration benefits D.C. traffic
Studies continually prove that Washington D.C. has the worst traffic, but in the first 3 months of 2013, traffic in the district has dropped significantly. This past month, traffic in D.C. has decreased by 11 percent, whereas the rest of the country has only increased in traffic.
Jim Bak, co-author of “INRIX Traffic Scorecard”, claims the sequester has had a definite impact on the capitol’s traffic. D.C. is currently ranked 9th in a list of the U.S.’s top 100 cities with the worst traffic.
