Police made arrest for a beating that occurred Wednesday night. 21-year-old Tommy Tyrone Branch, 18- year-old Michael Moore, and a juvenile male were all arrested for the crime. The suspects beat a man to an inch of his life, when he was found unconscious on the 700 block of North Carolina Avenue SE at roughly 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.
One of the suspects turned themselves in, and the others were found shortly after. The victim seemed to comply with the demands from the suspects, but was beaten for no reason. The victim is recovering after undergoing two surgeries and briefly falling into a coma. “When we catch the folks in these robberies, we’re going to go after these people hard,” the police chief said before the suspect turned himself in.
