Nationals to host Giants for NLDS postseason series this afternoon

The Washington Nationals will play the first game of the postseason this afternoon against the San Francisco Giants, to begin a best-of-five National League Division Series. The schedule for the games of the series, all of which will be shown on FS1 or MLBN is:

Game 1, Friday, at Washington (3:07 p.m. EDT)
Game 2, Saturday, at Washington (5:37 p.m. EDT)
Game 3, Monday, Oct. 6, at San Francisco (TBD)
x-Game 4, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at San Francisco (TBD)
x-Game 5, Thursday, Oct. 9, at Washington (TBD).

When the teams played in the regular season, the Nationals won 5-2. The Nationals and the Giants have never played in the postseason, although the Giants did play the Washington Senators in the World Series games of 1924 and 1933. More recently, the Giants won the World Series in 2010 and 2012.
