NASA approves rocket launch
NASA has given the OK to a private company to carry on a test rocket launch that if successful, will eventually carry cargo to the International Space Station. Orbital Sciences Corporation plans to launch its Antares rocket from Wallops Island, VA on Wednesday. The launch could potentially be visible during rush hour near Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New York.
NASA is fearful that the weather on Wednesday will not permit the launch to take place. The launch will be rescheduled for Thursday if that is the case. If the Antares rocket proves successful, another test launch that includes cargo material will take place during the summer.
