More research wanted for childhood cancer
Many children diagnosed with cancer participated in the activities offered during the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. Justin Bradley, currently in remission from brain cancer, was one such kid. Bradley stated that he hoped to see more research go into other cases of childhood cancer.
One parent, who lost his 17-year-old daughter to cancer, expressed his opinion stating, “[With] childhood cancer, the market is smaller, obviously and I think that’s got a lot to do with why we aren’t getting recognition.”
Currently, around 13,500 children are diagnosed with some form of cancer each year. Seven children die from it each day.
