Metro has released the late-night hours for the Nationals playoffs games this October. A partnership with American University will pay for the extra trains on Sunday through Thursday nights as necessary. Generally, for games that continue past 10:30 p.m., Metro will run one additional hour of service until 12:20 a.m. If necessary for certain games due to delays or extra innings, Metro can continue service through 1:20 a.m. All extra trains will be announced via Twitter and in-stadium announcements. Only the Navy Yard-Ballpark station will remain open at these times, all other stations are exit-only. The first post-season home game is this Friday, against the winner of Wednesday’s San Francisco Giants v Pittsburgh Pirates game. The time of the game has yet to be announced.
