Laptops stolen from D.C. auditor’s office

Authorities in Washington, D.C. are investigating the theft of two laptop computers, which were stolen during a burglary at the Office of the District of Columbia Auditor. The auditor is an independent agency that conducts thorough audits of the operations and accounts of the D.C. Government.

The burglary occurred over the weekend at the auditor’s office in Northwest D.C. on 14th Street. Chairman of the Council Kwame Brown’s office said in an email on Wednesday night that the laptop computers and several other items were stolen. The burglary was reported to police.
