Judge postpones hearing in prostitution case against D.C. officer

A District of Columbia police officer charged with operating a prostitution ring has had his hearing postponed.

The preliminary hearing in D.C. Superior Court for Officer Linwood Barnhill Jr. was set for Friday, but a judge has rescheduled it for next Wednesday.

Barnhill was arrested Wednesday and stripped of his gun and badge after police discovered a missing 16-year-old girl at his residence a week ago.  The girl says Barnhill set her up with older men and instructed her to perform sex acts on them.

It is still unknown if Barnhill’s case is connected to fellow officer Marc Washington’s.  Washington was recently charged with child pornography after a 15-year-old girl claimed he took naked photos of her.  His body walled pulled from the Washington Channel last week.

He later died at the hospital.
