Indiana man dies in motorcycle crash in D.C.

Sixty-six-year-old George Hills of North Lake Village, Ind. is dead after the motorcycle he was driving was struck by a car near the National Mall in Washington.

Police say the crash occurred late Friday night at the intersection of 23rd Street and Constitution Avenue.

Hills was pronounced dead at the hospital, but police are still investigating the collision. The crash occurred when a Chrysler Sebring collided with Hills’s Harley-Davidson as he turned onto Constitution Avenue.

Many bikers across the country are present in Washington this weekend for the annual Rolling Thunder tribute to war veterans.
