DC tour bus company shut down
The U.S. Department of Transportation ordered a D.C. tour bus company to shut down after inspections showed the vehicles and drivers were unsafe. The department announced on Wednesday that DC Party Shuttle should cease all operations immediately.
The bus company operates both in Washington D.C. and in New York. The inspections were conducted by the department’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, who found that drug and alcohol testing was not in affect and that the maintenance of the vehicles was inadequate.
