The district celebrated Chuck Brown Day on August 22. Two years after Brown’s death, the Chuck Brown Memorial Park was dedicated to the entertainer. The park is located in Northeast D.C. at Langdon Park. Among the many structures designed to honor Brown is a memorial wall with mosaic images of the late artist. Brown’s final album was released last Tuesday.
