Child services takes ex-D.C. mayor’s daughter

The daughter of former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty was reportedly taken into custody by Child and Family Services.

The 4-year-old was found alone in a bathroom on Tuesday at the Upshur Recreation Center in Northwest. Police were called after a woman, who seemed intoxicated, tried to claim the child.

Police say the woman is Fenty’s sister-in-law. It is unclear whether the child still remains in the custody of child services.
