An alleged victim of child pornography is moving forward with her case after the accused man was found dead.
The 15-year-old girl claims that District of Columbia police officer, Marc Washington, took naked pictures of her.
Washington was placed under arrest, but was released from jail last week. Soon after, police pulled his body from the Washington Channel and he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
His death is still under investigation.
The alleged victim’s attorney, Scott Lucas, says, “I do not believe he should have been released…I thought he was a danger to the community.”
Lucas is filing a suit against Washington’s estate and the District of Columbia on his client’s behalf.
