2 sentenced for slaying of teen in 2010
Two people have been sentenced for the murder and kidnapping of a teenager in 2010.
Twenty-year old Cinthya Proctor was sentenced to 21 years and 24-year-old Laurence Hassan was sentenced to 18 years on Friday.
Both pled guilty to charges of second-degree murder and kidnapping in the death of 18-year-old Latisha Frazier. Prosecutors say Proctor and Hassan were part of a group who lured Frazier into an apartment and beat and choked her to death because they believed she stole money from them.
Her body was later placed into a garbage bin and is somewhere in one of the two landfills in rural Virginia.
Proctor and Hassan are the six and seventh individuals found guilty of the crime.
